Shula Vista-USA 03-10-2011:  Jelle van Gorkom made it to the finals in this important race. In the finals he got involved in a crash and finished fifth. Reaching the finals resulted in a nomination for the Olympics 2012. Congratulations Jelle, well done!

Sidney-Australia 01-10-2011: Anne and Bart enjoy a well deserved vacation at the moment. They travel around Australia together. Anne finished her internal ship with a high martk. The internal ship was the final step in finishing her masters in microbiology. She passed with credit.

Lichtenvoorde-Netherlands 11-09-2011: Nice sunny weather and many people to watch a beautiful parade. The flower parade was fantastic, perhaps the best ever... Omroep Gelderland broadcasted the parade on television, follow this link to see their impression.

Lichtenvoorde-Netherlands 11-09-2011: It was great to work on the float. A massive turnout from family and friends to help us out. Hopefully the parade will be held in good weather conditions, the forecast does not look too bad.

Lichtenvoorde-Netherlands 04-09-2011: We are preparing for the big event next week Sunday. The second Sunday in September an impressive flower parade is held in Lichtenvoorde, a tradition for more then 80 years. Neighborhoods, clubs and families join forces and invest a lot of time to make this grand spectacle possible. The Marneth family will again be one of the groups with a big float in the parade. On the picture this years design named 'tunnel view' presented by Jeroen and Daniel.

Lichtenvoorde-Netherlands 04-09-2011: Koen is really making progress with the renovation of his house. He is now busy with bricklaying of his  shed and veranda.

Winterswijk-Netherlands 30-08-2011: Tuesday 30-08-2011 Marchien gave birth to a beautiful son named Fedde. Congratulations to mum Marchien and dad Rick and to Feddy of course: very welcome in our family!.

Lichtenvoorde-Netherlands 07-08-2011: Sunday we had a fantastic meeting with the MiNK DeVILLE band members and their partners. Lots of beer and wine and fine food and a lot of fun. The picture gives a nice impression of the great ambiance.

Melbourne-Australia 18-07-2011: From Anne:
Bart came over to Melbourne two weeks ago. On Friday the 1st of July we had a lovely diner with family in Croydon. Bart and I really appreciate the effort you all made to come and we would like to thank you. We had a really good time!

Lichtenvoorde-Netherlands 08-07-2011: Agnes and Tonnie celebrated theire 36 wedding anniversary and also the birthday of Agnes 16/6 and Tonnie 2/7. It was a nice party. The weather was great, we spent the whole night in the garden.

Varsseveld-Netherlands 30-06-2011: Not much change in Oom Henks condition.  He is still quite sick and does not eat or speak much. They take good care of him in the nursing home where he lives.

Lichtenvoorde-Netherlands 24-06-2011: Koen bought a house in Lichtenvoorde. Actually it is the house his father is born in. It is a house build around 1950, well maintained. After a total renovation Leonie and Koen intend to move in together. Koen is optimistic and hopes it will be ready around Xmas. First a lot of demolition work has to be done.

Lichtenvoorde-Netherlands 12-06-2011: Tonnie's band MiNK DeBAND gave a concert at Pimppop festival in Lichtenvoorde. It was a great evening with lot of family and friends in the audience.

Lichtenvoorde-Netherlands 12-06-2011: At Dorith's birthday her sisters organized a surprise party for her. They thought a special event like ones fortieth birthday should be remembered. Family and friends showed up to congratulate her.

Varsseveld-Netherlands 11-06-2011: Oom Henk is suffering from a inflammation of the bladder and he is very sick. Togethe r with his already very fragile condition things do not look well. The prognosis is not good. Please say a prayer for Oom Henk.

Lichtenvoorde-Netherlands 04-06-2011: Yesterday the annual Marneth cousins day was held. Almost all cousins gathered for a day of fun together. They started with a game of "klootschieten". After that they had a nice BBQ together. Then it was time for the young ones to bring them back to their parents. The rest of the bunch played a casino game and had a lot of fun. Afterwards there was a lot to talk about in Lichtenvoorde at the Irish pub Walk In.

IJzerloo-Netherlands 03-06-2011: Friday May 27 the beautiful stallion foal Mustong Yahtzee was born at Manja's breeding farm Mustang. Manja and Harry found the foal in the morning standing next to his proud mother.  Mother and son are in excellent condition.  Congratulations to you and we wish you lots of success with this new born foal.

Emst-Netherlands 03-062011: The Marneth sisters recently held their annual sisters day. This year part of their activities was a workshop "worker in precious metals" at Arto in Emst. They took the workshop very seriously if you look at the results, the rings are beautiful.

Ede-Netherlands 13-05-2011: While eating a sandwich Koen lost a tooth today at work. Lucky enough he did not swallow it. The tooth was already a dental prosthesis and the dentist was able to replace. It was the second time in only a month that this happened to the same tooth, hopefully it will last a bit longer this time.

Croydon-Australia 30-04-2011: From Barry and Mary, 25-04-2011:

Happy Easter. We celebrated Easter on Sunday and the kids and Lindy and Anne of course had an Easter Egg hunt. I know they are all a little old for such a children's game but they certainly had fun…..though I don’t think Anne found one!!!!.   We search for chocolate eggs….much more fun than your hard boiled real eggs!! There are still some missing in the yard but I’m sure they will turn up when I do the gardening….or Archie {the dog} finds them! We had an enjoyable lunch together and then Anne went into the Institute to check on her experiment and Lindy went off to visit Jo.

IJzerloo-Netherlands 30-04-2011: Thursday April 28 the beautiful mare foal Mustong Yahtzee was born at Manja's breeding farm Mustang. Manja and Harry are very proud and happy that all went so well. Congratulations to you and we wish you lots of success with this new born foal.

Deventer-Netherlands 21-04-2011: Recently Marchien, Femke, Dorith en Mieke got a metamorphosis including hairstyle, make-up and clothing. For and afterwards there were photo's taken which will be published in the glossy IVY of June.

Lichtenvoorde-Netherlands 17-04-2011: Yesterday I fell 3.5 meter off a ladder. Right leg and chest are black and blue, right thumb and left hand bruised and left foot is fractured and in a cast. Poor me....I'm in pain.....

Bunschoten-Netherlands 15-04-2011: On Saturday April 9 there was a N.M.P.R.S. stud test for  Miniature Horses. Mustang's Joehoe, a stud from Manja's breedingfarm Mustang, was tested as well and was honored with first premium and third placed in the size 86 centimeter. It is the first breeding result of breeding farm "Mustang". Mustang's Joehoe is born 02-06-2008, size 86 cm and color Vos.  One of the mare's at the farm is about to deliver another foal and the other one in a month or so. Congratulations Manja and Harry!

Lichtenvoorde-Netherlands 13-04-2011: Koen's return in his soccer team past weekend lasted only for 8 minutes. At that moment the bal hit his face and a incisive tooth broke out. He hurried to the dentist to have the tooth replaced.
